Refund Policy
Effective Date: February 14, 2026 Last Updated: February 14, 2026
Overview
Texas Divorce Express is committed to your satisfaction. This Refund Policy explains when and how you may request a refund for services purchased through our platform.
Texas Divorce Express is a legal document preparation service, not a law firm. Refunds are subject to the conditions described below.
1. Eligibility for a Refund
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- You have not yet received your prepared documents. If we have not yet begun preparing your documents, you may request a full refund.
- Documents contain errors caused by us. If your prepared documents contain errors that were not caused by inaccurate information you provided, we will correct the documents at no charge. If we are unable to correct the errors, you may request a refund.
- Service was not delivered. If you purchased a service and we failed to deliver it within a reasonable timeframe, you may request a refund.
2. Timeframe for Refund Requests
- Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of your purchase date.
- Requests submitted after 30 days will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Sign in to your Texas Divorce Express account.
- Navigate to your order history and locate the order in question.
- Submit a refund request through the order detail page, including a brief explanation of the reason for your request.
If you are unable to submit a request through your account, you may contact us directly:
Email: help@texasdivorceexpress.com
Please include your name, email address associated with your account, order confirmation number, and the reason for your refund request.
4. Processing Timeline
- We will acknowledge your refund request within 2 business days.
- Refund decisions are typically made within 5 business days of receiving your request.
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days after approval. Your bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the refund to your account.
5. Non-Refundable Conditions
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- Documents already prepared and delivered. Once your documents have been prepared and made available to you, the document preparation service is considered complete. This is because professional time and resources have already been expended on your behalf.
- Inaccurate information provided by you. If documents are incorrect because the information you provided was inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, we are not responsible for the resulting errors.
- Change of mind about filing. If you decide not to proceed with your divorce or annulment after documents have been prepared, a refund is not available for the document preparation service.
- Court rejection due to your circumstances. If a court declines to accept your documents for reasons related to your eligibility, case circumstances, or local court rules beyond our control, a refund is not available for document preparation already completed.
- Violation of Terms of Service. If your account was terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service, you are not eligible for a refund.
6. Partial Refunds
In some cases, we may offer a partial refund. This may apply when:
- Only a portion of the purchased services has been delivered.
- Work has been partially completed on your documents.
- A service bundle was purchased and only some components have been fulfilled.
The partial refund amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis and will reflect the value of services not yet rendered.
7. Refund Method
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
- If the original payment method is no longer available (for example, a closed credit card account), we will work with you to find an alternative refund method.
8. Disputes
If you are not satisfied with a refund decision, you may:
- Reply to the refund decision notification with additional information supporting your request.
- Contact us directly at help@texasdivorceexpress.com to discuss your concern.
We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.
